Spruced up alitle in photoshop to add the highlights as I didnt have the time to make enough prints to satisfy the effect I wanted to create. I RIKE IT AND I RIKE PRINT...derp.

Jelly, no Jelly?

I need advice plz ;A;

I've been painting this on and off all night with the intention of having jellyfish in her hair, I've put down some orange blobs for the bases but is it going to be too much? I was thinking if they are I should just paint them white or lilac instead? :/

Custom Brushes are Bi-Winning

I FINALLY ROUNDED OFF THIS IMAGE. I have been working on this on and off for I guess around a month, it's purpose was to help me to start using custom brushes of my own and ones others have created and shared. it was quite theraputic just to toy around with lots of different textures. Although I ad to keep taking breaks to draw the skulls, that proved to be tedious. I could keep working on this piece, there were a few other details I'd planned to add but I feel it's best to just leave it be for now :)

I actually hate colour, I can't do it, perhaps I just dont have that 'eye for colour.' Gotta work on that.

Actually looking at it now, this ones nearly finished, just needs some tightening up and highlights. Thank god for that I guess I don't completely fail at life...

/yay. ;A;! I really hope I actually finish this one, I quite like the compostition. Experimenting with texture brushes is so much fun, though i'm not sure if the polka dot areas just make the image seem pixelated. I'm hoping nay as I do quite like the variation it brings to the girl, it takes away from the god awful lines.It's okay though as soon as I get all my work back from my Tutor I can post it up and then realise I have been totally productive all throughout March. (Y)

EDIT: Been working on it for a while, decided to give it a semi-realism feel. Not sure I like the face though..

Octapussy.

I Tried drawing a concept simillar to this one a year ago, but I failed very miserably, but now, I have the skeelz ;D! Hopefully I have the effort and patience to finish this and it doesnt end up abandoned like most of my personal work these days.

Sketching.

Just a quick sketch that I began the other night. I've added step by step images to make it more interesting, gains an insight to how I tackle digital painting. :D

Whilst I was out shopping today I delved into WHS to take a peek at the latest ImagineFX issue to discover a favourite upcoming illustrator of mine Charlie Bowater (Click here to see her uhmazing work.) has landed a dream job at Atomhawk! (The company responsible for Enslaved: Odyssey to the west, and the Mortal Combat series.)
It suddenly dawned on me that to pursue my dream I seriously need to step my game up, thus, vigourous sketchingz ensued. I will become better and it's going to happen before easter >:C!

All of the artwork that I just never got around to finishing in the later half of 2010, I personally blame my other half for being such an outrageous distraction...

Don't feel sorry for the art like I do, I have to remember that it doesn't have feelings. D:

IM BLOGGING OMGWTFBBQ. I feel less lazy everyday, I'm liking it.

In other news, I have an entire week off from uni next week, I shall hopefully be doing some more artwork it feels like a freaking century ago that I drew something I wasn't told to. Perhaps it's a good thing Kobold isn't coming up to see me until the friday, or this opportunity would oversee me.
