Another monthly WIP. I'll finish this one probabily, because I like it. I sometimes (Read ALOT) spend time drawing and painting Wips that I never finish, this is simply because if I dont like where it's going or the feel i'm getting for the peice isnt right, IT GETS TRASHED 8D!

This is a drypoint print that I managed to make in my free time during the last few weeks of University :3

Spruced up alitle in photoshop to add the highlights as I didnt have the time to make enough prints to satisfy the effect I wanted to create. I RIKE IT AND I RIKE PRINT...derp.

I'm always dubious as to whether I should talk about this part of my artwork so freely. But considering I chose to post it here I guess I don't really have a choice. 8D;
These are some of my characters from a story/novel/comic that I have been working (I say working, but what I really mean is thinking and doodling with the occasional page of writitng xD) on for the past 5 years or so. It's very personal to me and I feel as though it is something to record how I've grown up through the years, all the characters and the nature of the story have all aged alongside me, when I first started drawing them they were only 15 like me, but now, I'm not even sure what age they should be (probabily about 21 in this picture at least ;D).
I think thats all I'll say right now, no doubt I will draw more of them (past a doodle that is) so...yeah *runs away all embarassed.*

Oh and if you're wondering, Aitios is the town they were born to. :3

This is finally done. THANK GOD.
I slaved over this piece for 3 days/nights. It's the final project set from my first year of uni!
We were taught this unit by a talented comic artist Woodrow Phoenix who in the past has worked for catroon network/Sonic the Comic/ Toejam and Earl and Ecco the dolphin! Whilst also creating his own graphic novels. [link] [link]

I've been painting this on and off all night with the intention of having jellyfish in her hair, I've put down some orange blobs for the bases but is it going to be too much? I was thinking if they are I should just paint them white or lilac instead? :/

Custom Brushes are Bi-Winning

I FINALLY ROUNDED OFF THIS IMAGE. I have been working on this on and off for I guess around a month, it's purpose was to help me to start using custom brushes of my own and ones others have created and shared. it was quite theraputic just to toy around with lots of different textures. Although I ad to keep taking breaks to draw the skulls, that proved to be tedious. I could keep working on this piece, there were a few other details I'd planned to add but I feel it's best to just leave it be for now :)

I actually hate colour, I can't do it, perhaps I just dont have that 'eye for colour.' Gotta work on that.

Actually looking at it now, this ones nearly finished, just needs some tightening up and highlights. Thank god for that I guess I don't completely fail at life...

/yay. ;A;! I really hope I actually finish this one, I quite like the compostition. Experimenting with texture brushes is so much fun, though i'm not sure if the polka dot areas just make the image seem pixelated. I'm hoping nay as I do quite like the variation it brings to the girl, it takes away from the god awful lines.It's okay though as soon as I get all my work back from my Tutor I can post it up and then realise I have been totally productive all throughout March. (Y)

EDIT: Been working on it for a while, decided to give it a semi-realism feel. Not sure I like the face though..

How to fix the obesity crisis.

Unfortunately I have not had 3 of my editiorial projects back from my tutor as of yet so I am unable to post the remainder of this long winded Editorial project. But here alas is the final brief answered. Oh what a son of a house this brief was to fulfil. I spent days wracking my brain for ideas, none really came to me if i'm brutally honest with myself. However I did manage to produce this. :/

Although I'm unsure about the speech bubble in the first image, Advice? :<
Oh god now to get on with this godamn essay. /cry.

I Tried drawing a concept simillar to this one a year ago, but I failed very miserably, but now, I have the skeelz ;D! Hopefully I have the effort and patience to finish this and it doesnt end up abandoned like most of my personal work these days.

Treasure In New York.

The 3rd brief of ours in this ongoing Editorial Illustration project (The second I still need to scan however it's temporarily handed in.) I was at first ridiculously excited about a brief surrounding the subject of Pirates, but the specifications of the project meant that I was also required to incorporate a map depicting both New York and Gardiners Island, THIS WAS HARD, I have learnt from doing this NOT TO MESS WITH THE MAP.

Long Overdue.

 

I promised a good friend of mine years and years ago that I would draw her a picture of her favourite game character, Seymour Guado (FinalFantasyX). 4 years on, I still hadn't drawn it and the girl is almost 20 years of age, so I finally got off of my nioce bam to draw her man. But my word was he hard to draw, no matter what angle, position, pose I drew him in he just didn't look right realistically. So I snuck back into my old style of working to be able to create him exactly how he is supposed to be. In a way it was refreshing to draw in such a cartoon style as I tend to want to complicate every drawing recently. I just hope she enjoys the drawing!

What do you do when you're bored and have pretty much exhausted you're games collection? (bar Metroid ♥)
Draw portraits. Very roughly, but a portrait all the same. Though Im sick of drawing from internet references, so I'm happy that I have a suitable test subject to hand haha.
From drawing this I've really come to remember just how much I love drawing people, I may even start a few more portraits in the near future, it's refreshing to draw something so real.

A portrait of a person whom a life without wouldnt be a life worth living. ♥

Digital Media Project.

FINALLY THE TIME HAD COME TO USE MY DIGITAL SKILLS FOR GREAT JUSTICE!....Ahem I mean of course, my university work. Yes the very same sketch turnedfullyrenderedimage I have used for my project :)

Just a quick sketch that I began the other night. I've added step by step images to make it more interesting, gains an insight to how I tackle digital painting. :D

Whilst I was out shopping today I delved into WHS to take a peek at the latest ImagineFX issue to discover a favourite upcoming illustrator of mine Charlie Bowater (Click here to see her uhmazing work.) has landed a dream job at Atomhawk! (The company responsible for Enslaved: Odyssey to the west, and the Mortal Combat series.)
It suddenly dawned on me that to pursue my dream I seriously need to step my game up, thus, vigourous sketchingz ensued. I will become better and it's going to happen before easter >:C!
